Our journey began with a simple twist of fate – our paths crossing through mutual friends, leading to an exchange of numbers that would change everything. Kershen, always determined to get what he wants, had a clear vision of his perfect partner: a kind-hearted, religious girl he could proudly bring home to his mum. And just like that, on June 30, 2018, Kershen arrived at Vaneshrie’s house for the first time. We spoke for hours, lost in conversation, unaware that this was the start of something extraordinary.

From that day forward, we became inseparable. Unofficial dates turned into unforgettable memories, driving through sunrises, watching horses train at one of Vaneshrie favourite places and competing in every sport imaginable. Laughter, adventure, and love filled every moment.

After a few months had passed, there came an unexpected moment of realisation. One day, during a casual conversation, Kershen mentioned the area where he lived. As Vaneshrie’s mum listened, something about it felt familiar – she recalled that they had once rendered a service at a house in that very same neighbourhood.

As she continued describing the home in detail, it became clear, she was speaking about Kershen ’s house. In that instant, everything clicked. That was the day we discovered that our paths had first crossed when we were just 13 years old.

Even more astonishing, our uncles had been best friends for years. Fate had intertwined in our lives long before we ever realised it.
